Who is a Good Candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign should be worn for at least 22 hours every single day. Because of this, patients need to be committed to following through with treatment, replacing the aligners after they’ve eaten, brushed, or flossed. This is why Invisalign is more suitable for older children, teens, and adults who will take treatment seriously and follow through. You must commit to visiting the office regularly for new aligners to be made for you over the course of treatment.

What Happens During Treatment for Invisalign?

We begin the Invisalign process with a consultation, exam, x-rays, and impressions. We create a personalized treatment plan just for you and start by making your first set of aligners. The aligners will need to be worn for no less than 22 hours a day. They should only be removed when you eat, brush your teeth, and floss. You will need to come in every few weeks for new aligners to be made for you. It’s not uncommon for patients to need many aligners throughout the course of their Invisalign treatment. Once treatment is finished, you’ll benefit from a full, healthy, and straight smile.
