Dr. Vijay Markonda

Dr. Markonda’s journey into dentistry began in a small city in southern India, shaped by the values instilled by his parents—his father’s dedication to patient care and his mother’s constant encouragement. Motivated by a deep passion for healthcare, Dr. Markonda earned his dental degree in India in 2018 before moving to the United States to further his education and training.

In 2019, Dr. Markonda completed a fellowship in Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He then entered the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Rochester, where he refined his clinical expertise across a broad range of procedures. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Markonda served as Chief Resident, was awarded a scholarship in 2023, and contributed as a Teaching Assistant in oral surgery and dental photography.

Dr. Markonda is committed to delivering personalized, advanced dental care using the latest technology to create custom treatment plans and smile designs tailored to each patient’s goals.
