Dr. Zaneta T. Hamlin

Dr. Hamlin completed her undergraduate education at Emory & Henry College, in Emory, Virginia. She was awarded her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry.

Dr. Hamlin is a second generation dentist born in Brooklyn, NY. She spent her early years in Saskatchewan, Canada and Accra, Ghana. She then attended her father’s alma mater, Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. She immediately practiced dentistry in Maryland and was the Howard County Dental Association President Elect before she moved to Hampton roads to be closer to her husband’s family. Dr. Hamlin has participated in several Missions of Mercy and is an advocate for community service. She is committed to professionalism, integrity, and ethics. She holds office in Tidewater Dental Association, is an External Affiliate Instructor in the Department of Oral Health Promotion and Community Outreach at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, a regular volunteer at the Chesapeake Care Clinic. She enjoys traveling, learning new things, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Her affiliations include membership in the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association, Pi Pi Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National Dental Honor Society), Distressed and Displaced Africa Project Coordinator and North American Main Liaison Officer, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. In 2017, she was recognized by VDA in the Virginia Dental Journal as one of the 40 under 40 Dentists.
